Meet your Cranleigh Team
Leading our Cranleigh office is Gavin Amberton. Gavin began his estate agency career in 2006, cutting his teeth with a large high street brand before moving into the independent sector — experience that has shaped his commercially sharp yet highly personal approach to selling property.
In 2023, Gavin launched our Cranleigh office, now firmly established at the heart of the village and covering some of the most sought-after locations across Surrey and Sussex. With a strong sales background and an instinctive understanding of the local market, Gavin is known for his energy, honesty, and commitment to achieving the best possible result for every client.
Outside of work, Gavin’s once-impressive local pub knowledge has evolved in recent years. Since welcoming his daughters in 2019 and 2024, weekends are now more likely spent discovering buggy-friendly walks, navigating soft play centres, and fitting in the occasional round of golf when time allows — alongside following football whenever he can.
Supporting Gavin is Gary, Lorraine and Rita who make up the rest of the Cranleigh team — knowledgeable, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional service with a truly local feel.
Gary Jones
Gary began his estate agency career in 1989, working with some of Surrey’s largest estate agents and gaining extensive experience across the major towns of Woking and Guildford. With decades of industry knowledge, he brings a steady, experienced hand to every transaction.
Passionate about guiding buyers and sellers through the highs and lows of moving home, Gary has helped thousands of clients over the years, building a reputation for reliability, professionalism, and trusted advice.
Outside of work, Gary is a keen football fan and enjoys spending time walking the Surrey countryside — a pastime that reflects both his love of the area and his strong local connection.
Lorraine Rigden
Lorraine is a valued member of the team in our Cranleigh office and brings both professional expertise and genuine local knowledge to her role. Having moved to Ewhurst in 2013 so her son and daughter could attend local schools in Cranleigh and Guildford, she knows the area extremely well and understands what makes it such a desirable place to live.
Lorraine began her career in design and marketing with a London-based advertising agency before moving into estate agency in 2000. Having moved home several times herself — and enjoying the process of refurbishing and restoring older properties — she brings a practical, empathetic perspective to helping clients navigate their own moves. She is particularly known for her high levels of customer service and her commitment to supporting both buyers and sellers throughout the process.
Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys family walks with their Miniature Schnauzer, making the most of the changing seasons and the beautiful views across the Surrey Hills.
Rita White
Rita began her career as cabin crew before progressing into a specialist role within the aviation industry, where she worked with the EU on aviation safety programmes. This background has given her a highly organised, detail-focused approach and a strong understanding of the importance of clear communication.
More recently, Rita worked in new homes and retirement apartment sales, providing her with valuable experience across both ends of the housing market. This breadth of knowledge enables her to support a wide range of clients with confidence and efficiency.
Based in our Cranleigh office, Rita coordinates weekend appointments across the business, familiarising herself with the properties available, managing last-minute changes, liaising with clients en route to viewings, and responding to new property enquiries as they arise. Her calm, capable approach ensures everything runs smoothly during the busiest times of the week.
Selling locally?
This isn’t just where we work — it’s home turf. We know the walking routes buyers love, the best coffee spots they ask about, and which homes catch the evening light just right. That level of local insight can’t be copied, and it makes a real difference when it comes to positioning, marketing, and ultimately achieving the best result for your home.
